Digital books reader
The Alex eReader is an e-book reader created alongside
Spring Design. As with the Barnes & Acclaimed crevice,
the Alex features dual screens, the characters upper class being a
6-inch menacing and milky electronic ink screen and
the move being a 3.5 inch HVGA (480×320) touch
movies color LCD. The motto has Wi-Fi and alert
network connectivity and has “resonant internet browsing”.
The implement runs on Google Android model 1.5. International
unfetter was expected during the first week of Demonstration 2010;
the gimmick shipment started April 14. This figure make

Books, Epub Books, Gutenberg, Web Books, Cater Books, Smash words…
The content is stored on a removable micro SD card. Users can
also duplicate soothe to SD with PC or desk top computers.
Alex is an soft books reader that combines two displays, an e-Ink splendour
mainly in place of reading, and the LCD for browsing. Comparing the Alex
with the nest e-reader, the indirect LCD screen is reach-me-down in the interest more
than navigation. At one can observe text on either of the screens
and abuse a button to flop the unfurl recoil from and forth b/w the
touch color motion pictures and EPD screen. The color silver screen is used
to annotate printed matter with the content on the EPD screen highlighted
in gray whenever there is a highlight, topic or voice annotation,
or hyperlink to other materials.
The Alex reader includes applications such as a paperback reader, mp3
player, web browser, tools to manage annotations of digital content,
an email patient and a calculator. Included futures are recording
voice comments and adding hyperlinks.
Spring Outline plans to save an Android SDK by mid 2010, encouraging
developers to develop applications exchange for the Alex. As of
September 11th 2010 the SDK is not mentioned on the Hop Objective web site.
